Card-to-card from abroad — with an Iran IP

Sending money to family in Iran should not be this hard. The Shetab network refuses foreign IP addresses, so the card-to-card form either will not load or breaks the moment you confirm. A real Iranian IP makes the transfer ordinary again.

Shetab transfers

Card-to-card in the banking app or internet banking, just as it worked inside Iran.

Paya & Satna

For amounts above the card-to-card ceiling, straight from internet banking.

Card details never reach us

They pass directly between the banking app and the banking network.

FAQ

Card-to-card from abroad — common questions

Why does card-to-card fail from abroad?

Because the Shetab network and the card-to-card gateways only serve IP addresses inside Iran. Sometimes the form does not load at all; sometimes it loads and is refused at confirmation, which looks like a card problem but is not. With an Iran IP the transfer goes through normally.

Money left my account but never arrived. What should I do?

Do not send again. Half-finished transactions are usually reversed automatically within 24 to 72 hours. Check both statements first, and if it is not reversed, give the bank the transaction reference number. This is unrelated to the VPN.

Does a VPN raise the card-to-card ceiling?

No. The daily ceiling is set by the Central Bank and has nothing to do with where you connect from. For larger amounts use a Paya or Satna transfer from internet banking.

Can I do card-to-card without an Iranian SIM?

Yes, if you have enabled your bank’s in-app password generator, because the dynamic password is produced on the phone itself. If the dynamic password is set to SMS, you need a live Iranian SIM — SMS travels over the mobile network and a VPN cannot deliver it.

Is card-to-card safe over a VPN?

Yes. Your card details pass directly between the banking app and the banking network and never reach us. The VPN only adds another layer of encryption on top of the bank’s own.
