The generic Android boxes and mini-PCs many Iranian households abroad already use for Persian channels also run the app, as long as the box has the Google Play Store on it. Boxes sold with a custom launcher and no Play Store are the awkward ones — see the push-install trick in the setup steps above, which is usually enough to get the app onto them.
Not every "smart TV" is an Android TV, and we would rather say so than have you buy something on our word.
Force-stop it and reopen it while the VPN is connected. Most Persian streaming apps check your region once at launch and cache the answer, so an app that was already open when you connected keeps showing the old verdict.
Some TV boxes suspend background services aggressively on standby. Reconnect after waking the TV — or, on boxes that expose it, exclude Iran IP VPN from battery and power optimisation in Settings → Apps.
Almost always the local link rather than the tunnel: TV boxes on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi at the far end of the house are the usual culprit. Plug in Ethernet or move to a 5 GHz network. Smart routing already keeps YouTube, Netflix and system updates on your normal connection, so only the traffic that needs an Iranian IP goes through the VPN.

Not yet. Fire TV runs Fire OS, which uses the Amazon Appstore instead of Google Play, and Iran IP VPN is not listed there. On a Fire Stick today the practical options are an Android TV or Google TV device, or casting from a phone that is connected to the VPN.

Older Android TV devices sometimes hide apps their firmware considers incompatible. Install it from Google Play in a desktop or phone browser and select your TV under Install on more devices — that push install bypasses on-device search. If the TV still does not appear, message support on Telegram and we will check the device.
Iranian streaming platforms are served from inside Iran, so the tunnel is the shortest sensible route to them, and smart routing keeps everything else on your normal connection. If playback stutters, use a wired Ethernet connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi — TV boxes on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi are the usual cause.
