Who we are, and how we run Iran IP VPN
Iran IP VPN exists for one audience: Iranians living outside Iran who still need the Iranian internet — their bank, their tax portal, their family's insurance renewal. This page explains who is behind the service, how it works, and exactly what we do and don't keep. No marketing voice, just the facts.
Who we are
A and S Lomond, trading as Iran IP VPN, operates the service and is the data controller for it. We're a small, independent team — not a faceless holding company — and the same people who build the apps answer the support chat. Our privacy practices follow the GDPR and UK GDPR frameworks described in our Privacy Policy.
How the service works
The app builds an encrypted tunnel from your device to our proxy servers, and your traffic exits to the internet with a real Iranian IP address. Iranian websites see ordinary domestic traffic; anyone between you and us — your ISP, a café hotspot — sees only an encrypted connection. Smart routing can limit the tunnel to the traffic that actually needs an Iranian IP, so the rest of your connection keeps full speed.
The service is offered only to people located outside Iran. That's a deliberate scope, spelled out in our Terms of Service.
Our privacy architecture
The honest test of a VPN is what it can't say about you. Our design goal is that the answer to "what did this user do online?" is: we don't know.
- No activity logs. We do not log or store the websites you visit, your DNS queries, or the content of your traffic — and we never sell personal data.
- Minimal account data. The service runs on your sign-in email (from Google or Apple), your subscription status, and data-usage totals. That's the working set.
- Self-serve deletion. You can delete your account and its data yourself, from the app or the website, any time — no support ticket required. See how deletion works.
- Optional diagnostics. Crash reports are opt-in, and the free tier's ads are documented in the Privacy Policy along with your choices.
The full, legally binding version of all of this is the Privacy Policy — deliberately written to be readable.
Where we are on independent verification
We have not yet commissioned a third-party no-logs audit — we're an independent, self-funded team, and a credible audit is a significant undertaking that we'd rather do properly than performatively. Until then, we compensate with specificity: the Privacy Policy enumerates exactly what is collected, why, and for how long, so you can hold us to it. When an independent audit happens, its results will be published on this page.
Where the apps come from
Iran IP VPN is distributed through Google Play and the Microsoft Store, plus direct downloads for Windows, macOS and Linux from our own CDN. The iOS app is in development — status on the iPhone page. Payments for premium are processed by app stores or RevenueCat's hosted billing; we never see your card number.
