Tap Connect and approve the VPN configuration iOS asks to add (it lives under Settings → General → VPN & Device Management). You now browse with a real Iranian IP.
The first time you tap Connect, iOS shows an "Allow" prompt to add a VPN configuration and asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. If you dismissed it, tap Connect again and accept. You can check the profile any time under Settings → General → VPN & Device Management; deleting the Iran IP VPN configuration there and reconnecting from the app re-adds a clean one.
Force-quit that app (swipe up from the app switcher) and reopen it while the VPN is connected — many apps cache their network check from launch. If it is a website in Safari, turn off iCloud Private Relay in Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Private Relay: it routes Safari traffic through Apple's own relay, separately from the VPN, so pages can still look foreign. Low Power Mode and a locked screen make iOS suspend background networking harder, so a sleeping phone can drop the tunnel. Turn Low Power Mode off in Settings → Battery while you need a steady connection, and open the app to reconnect if the status shows disconnected after a long idle period.
