If you worked in Iran, your insurance history and any pension or benefit details sit with the Social Security Organization (Tamin Ejtemaei, usually just Tamin). From abroad its website often will not load: instead of a sign-in page you may get a message saying access from your region is restricted. That is a block on your IP location, and a real Iranian IP removes it. This guide covers what the block looks like, what an Iranian IP fixes, and what it cannot.
Insurance history and benefit details, once you can sign in.
The regional block that turns foreign IP addresses away.
Your credentials, and any code texted to your Iranian number, are still needed.
When we tested in September 2026, tamin.ir answered a foreign IP with a 403 page about a geographic restriction instead of the site itself. The page comes from the site’s content network, which refuses requests from outside Iran before the portal ever loads. Portals change their rules over time, so if you see something different, the steps below still apply.
Many Iranian government and insurance services accept traffic only from Iranian IP addresses. It is a rule about where the request comes from, not about you. Your account has not been locked, and nothing is wrong with your national ID number or password.
If it still fails, close the browser completely, reconnect, and check the connection using how to check you have an Iran IP address.
The same approach helps with other Iranian services that refuse foreign visitors: Sana and Adliran, Amlak va Eskan and Iranian internet banking. In the same September 2026 test, the tax authority’s portal (my.tax.gov.ir) timed out from abroad as well.
You will be typing a national ID number and a password, so the connection should be encrypted. Iran IP VPN encrypts the tunnel, and we do not log the sites you visit or your DNS requests (privacy policy). The service is offered only to people outside Iran.
Because it restricts foreign IP addresses. When we tested in September 2026, tamin.ir answered a foreign IP with a 403 page about a geographic restriction instead of the site. That is a block on your IP location, not a problem with your account.
It removes the regional block, so the site can load and the sign-in page can appear. Signing in still depends on your own credentials, and the portal may text a code to the mobile number registered with it.
Once the site loads and you can sign in, you can use whatever the portal offers. Which services appear, and what they are called, is decided by Tamin and changes over time, so check the portal itself for the current list.
If the portal sends a one-time code to your registered number, yes. A VPN cannot receive text messages for you. See dynamic passwords without an Iranian SIM.
Yes, when the connection is encrypted. Iran IP VPN encrypts the tunnel between your device and our servers, and we do not log the sites you visit or your DNS requests (privacy policy).
An Iranian IP is the first thing to try. In the same September 2026 test, my.tax.gov.ir timed out from abroad. Portals change their rules, so if one still fails after you connect, see Sana and Adliran from abroad for the general approach.
