FAQ

Iran VPN for Linux: common questions

Does Iran IP VPN work on Linux?

Yes. There are two x86-64 builds: an AppImage that runs on most distributions and a .deb package for Debian and Ubuntu. Sign-in and Connect work exactly like the other platforms.

Which Linux distributions are supported?

Debian and Ubuntu can install the .deb. Any other x86-64 distribution can use the AppImage.

Is there an ARM or Raspberry Pi build?

No. Only x86-64 builds are published, so ARM boards such as the Raspberry Pi are not covered.

Is the Linux version free?

Yes. The free plan covers Linux, with no card needed. Premium is optional and one account works on every device.

The AppImage will not start. What should I try?

Check that it is executable with chmod +x. AppImages in general also need FUSE 2, so on recent Ubuntu releases install libfuse2 (libfuse2t64 on Ubuntu 24.04). If the file sits on a drive mounted with the noexec option, copy it to your home folder first.

Can I use it inside Iran?

No. Iran IP VPN is offered only to users outside Iran. See the Terms of Service.
